A grinder is a tool which plays an important role in waterproofing. By using this, we prepare the surface and finish the tasks. It ensures that the surface is properly prepared with smooth-finish, clean, and levelled before applying waterproofing materials like coatings, membranes, or sealants.
Importance of Using a Grinder for Waterproofing:
- Surface Preparation- Before applying waterproofing materials (sealants, membranes, or coatings), it is crucial to have a clean and smooth surface. By using a grinder, we remove any dirt, old coatings, or rough patches, ensuring better adhesion for the new waterproofing materials.
- Smoothness and Leveling- If the surface has imperfections, bumps, or uneven areas, we make the surface smooth with a grinder. This ensures that the waterproofing material is applied evenly that prevents any gaps or areas where water could seep through.
